Part-TimeClinical Supervisor Job Description

The Clinical Supervisor will provide weekly,bi-weekly, or monthly structuredindividual and groupclinical supervision with therapists, interns, andregistered associatesto discusstherapistcaseloadsincludingethical issues/concerns, and any professional issues that may arise.The Clinical Supervisor willprovide feedback to strengthen clinical skills, professional competence, andtheuse of evidence-based practicesand thetimelysubmission of clinical documentation.

Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Provide regularly scheduled supervision with assigned therapist,either on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis depending on thetherapistsneed and Clinical Directors recommendation.
  • Provide biweekly supervision to therapists carrying a caseload of 12+ clients.
  • The Clinical Supervisor will be available by phone, text, or email to respond to requests from their assignedtherapists for information and/orassistance.Andwhen necessary,will remain available for urgent clinical consultationoutsidenormal business hours.
  • If the Clinical Supervisor is unable toassistor needsbackup,he/shewill consult with either the Clinical Director or the Operations Manager.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Complete performance improvement plans, and write ups asdeemednecessary in consultation with the Clinical Director and Operations Manager.
  • Ensure clinicianscomply withlicensure and registration requirements.
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentationincluding reviewing documentation for clinical accuracy, completeness, compliance, and payer requirements.Andassistingclinicians in resolving barriers to treatment, scheduling, and service coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with MAHCS clinical policies and procedures.
  • Check and respond to emails within 24 hours.
  • Report directly to andmaintainconsistent communication withthe ClinicalDirectorandserveas a backup for the Clinical Director.
  • Escalate concerns that affect operations and clinical care tothe ClinicalDirector and Operations Managerin a timely manner.
  • Performother duties as assigned byClinical Director orOperations Manager.

Reviewof Documentation:

  • The Clinical Supervisor will ensure thattherapistssubmitaProgress Note or Contact Log for each of their assigned clientsweekly.
  • Review clinical documentation of assignedtherapistsincluding weekly progress notes, treatment plan reviews,transfer summaries, discharge summaries, CFARS/FARS, ChildNet monthly reports, and incident reports.
  • Maintainmasterclient tracking sheets and provide monthly copies to assigned therapists.
  • Reviewing and ensuring that assigned therapists are up to date with documentation (i.e.Treatment Plan Reviews, functional assessment[CFARS/FARS], ChildNet reports, Annual Intakes,etc.).
  • Reviewstherapist caseloadsduring individual supervision and note the staffing of those cases, individually, in a Supervision Log.
  • Maintains documentation ofsupervisionsummaries and concernsintheEMR system, Lauris.
  • Provide ongoing support and emergency case consultation to direct reports as needed.
  • Provide support and clinical education as neededand refer advanced issues to upper management/Clinical Director.

Clinical Supervisor Requirements:

  • The Clinical Supervisor must hold a Florida State License as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • The Clinical Supervisor must have at leasttwoyears ofpost-licensure experience providing mental health services and clinical supervisionin an outpatient setting, servicing children, adolescents, and adults.
  • The Clinical Supervisorshould be aQualified Supervisor within the state of Floridaorbe open to completing the Qualified Supervisor certification.
  • The Clinical Supervisor must have strong organizational skills includingthe abilityto managehis/her workcalendar of scheduled appointments,effective oral and written communication, and teamwork.
  • The Clinical Supervisor must be proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, and all google documents (docs, sheets, calendar, etc.).
  • The Clinical Supervisor must have proficient knowledge of applicable laws and rules related to AHCA, Medicaid, and HIPPA regulations.
  • Pre-employment background screeningrequiredprior to hire.

Hours per week:Part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week; hours may vary based on caseload and operational needs.
