This role will drive purchasing and material management.The analyst will drive improvements in material turns, storage, packaging, and customer delivery. The position will require a significant interface with Suppliers, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing. Material analysts will track and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in the distribution center.The Analyst will be part of the team to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

AS A MATERIALS ANALYST, YOU WILL:

Manage MRP to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules.

Track the progress of materials and expedite as required.

Manage Kanban's to meet production and inventory targets.

Manage the master schedule to meet demand and inventory targets.

Manage inventory levels to meet goals.

Key player to identify and resolve issues that impact on-time delivery. Work in conjunction with production, customer service, sales, suppliers, and procurement to meet customer requirements including short LT and expedited requests.

Cross-trained in other positions in the department.

Other duties/projects as assigned by the Materials Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience

3 years' experience in Materials Management

Strong computer and skills, proficient in Excel Capable of utilizing Lean tools such as Kanban, VSM, pull systems, demand driven Supply Chain and Perfect Execution strategies.

Excellent communication skills Experience with MS Office Suite, and Enterprise Resource Program such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management preferred

Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish

Knowledge of ISO QMS Knowledge of Manhattan WMS
