Job Title:Enterprise Architect - Advanced (IT Architectural Engineering Services) Location:San Antonio, TX Clearance: Secret Education: BS Computer Science Degree or related field, preferred or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Cyber Security Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Position Description: The IT Architectural Engineer (Advanced) provides enterprise-level design, integration, and engineering expertise to support the DHA Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB). This role leads the development of secure, scalable, and resilient IT architectures that align with DHA’s mission objectives, the DoD Digital Modernization Strategy, and Zero Trust principles. Key Responsibilities: Design, engineer, and document enterprise IT architectures, ensuring compliance with DHA, DoD, and federal standards. Provide expert technical guidance on the integration of enterprise management, identity, endpoint, and cybersecurity services into DHA’s IT environments. Develop architectural blueprints, boundary diagrams, and technical design packages to support accreditation, risk assessments, and enterprise modernization efforts. Support implementation of Zero Trust, ICAM, and cybersecurity reference architectures, ensuring alignment with DoD strategies and frameworks. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to improve enterprise performance, resilience, and security. Lead cross-functional engineering teams to pilot, validate, and transition new architectures into production environments. Contribute to technical standards, design reviews, and governance boards, ensuring enterprise-wide architectural consistency. Develops - Enterprise architectural and boundary diagrams. Technical design documents and accreditation artifacts. Engineering assessments and modernization recommendations. Zero Trust and ICAM-aligned architecture packages. The IT Architectural Engineer (Advanced) plays a critical role in shaping the future state of DHA’s enterprise IT environment. By designing and engineering secure, modern architectures, this role strengthens system interoperability, cybersecurity, and resilience, ensuring mission-critical IT services can scale and adapt to support healthcare delivery across the Military Health System.
