Job description

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area in Crystal Growth.
  • Maintains record of calibration and verification of measurement devices used in manufacturing documents.
  • Owns standard operating procedures and associated trainings for manufacturing processes.
  • Recommending and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
  • Developing and conducting statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
  • Interacting with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
  • Participating in internal and external IATF audits and ensuring all control documentations (PFD, PFMEA, and PCP) are up to date.
  • Collaborating with downstream departments, facilities, logistics and software teams to resolve interruptions to production.
  • Providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality management systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software
  • Experience with SQL preferred
