Job description

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a senior-level Family Medicine Physician to provide ambulatory primary care for patients in Corydon, Indiana. This role supports accessible, high-quality family medicine across the lifespan while strengthening continuity of care within the community.Key responsibilities include:- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient setting- Deliver preventive care, health maintenance, and evidence-based care planning- Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR- Collaborate with clinical staff and referral partners to coordinate follow-up care- Participate in community engagement consistent with the practice’s goalsRequired qualifications/skills:- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine; residency trained- Active Indiana medical license- BLS/ACLS certification- Experience in ambulatory primary care; proficiency with Cerner EMR- Strong interpersonal and communication skillsA Typical Clinic DayYou’ll work onsite in Corydon on a four-day work week, Monday through Friday, with a steady outpatient rhythm that supports focus and follow-through. The day is structured around scheduled visits, brief touchpoints with nursing and support staff, and timely documentation in Cerner so patient information is current for the next encounter. Between appointments, you’ll review results, address patient messages, and coordinate next steps to keep care moving smoothly.
