Job description


• Provide Domain/Systems Administrator Engineer of the Mission LAN, and oversee the maintenance, optimal function, and patching of the LAN's operating system, and the GOTS, COTS, and custom software products running on it.
• Perform system startup, shutdown, backups, and restores and maintain records of the Cartoon operating system upgrades/changes for reporting purposes.
• Conduct virus scanning and firewall protection of the Mission LAN in compliance with the Sponsor's ISSM
• Provide Data Transfer Officer (DTO) services between UNCLASSIFIED and CLASSIFIED networks as needed by the Sponsor
• Coordinate assistance from the Sponsor's corporate resources when required, if encountering a problem that the Contractor team cannot solve
• Ensure security compliance with the Sponsor's ISSM for all components of the network
• Perform other system administration duties as requested by the Sponsor.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Systems Administrator
• Minimum 1 year administering a system with the Sponsor's system security control for Int-A, B, and/or C enclaves
• Basic understanding of Windows/Linux
• Ability to describe technical items to non-technical users
• Experience with scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, Python, etc.)
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT, GIS, or related field. Candidates without a degree may be considered if they have relevant certifications and equivalent professional experience
• Must have a current U.S. government security clearance (Top Secret/SCI with CI or higher) appropriate for the role
Desired skills
- Experience building and supporting hybrid infrastructures that securely connect on-premises data centers to cloud.
- Real-world experience building infrastructure as a code using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Ability to manage traditional VMs (VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix) alongside containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and Cloud infrastructure.
- Fluent in managing both Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, PowerShell) and Linux distribution (Debian and RHEL families)
- Automation
o Bare-Metal and VM automation
o PowerShell and BASH scripting
- Expertise in managing patching mechanisms of Linux (YUM, DNF or APT) and Windows (Windows Update or WSUS)
- Experience setting up and maintaining centralized log management systems. Should be fluent in Logstash, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch and Nagios
Need to know:
- How to deploy and configure agents on servers.
- How to parse and forward systems logs.
- Understand Windows Systems events to setup alerts.
- Experience managing infrastructure scanners (Nessus, Rapid7) to scan physical hardware, VMs, and operating systems for missing patches.
- Continuously audit server configurations against security baselines benchmarks (CIS or DISA STIGS).
- Must understand network protocols and services, how data moves down to troubleshoot Core Infrastructure Services (DNS, NTP, DHCP, Route53), Transport and Diagnostic layer (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP), hybrid connectivity, container routing and secure communication channels.
- Understand NAS, SAN and FC technologies and related enterprise storage integrations to manage storage platforms (like NetApp ONTAP, Proxmox PBS or DELL PowerStore).
- Experience managing Enterprise Certificate Authorities (PKI Certificates) like AD CS or cloud-native options.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $116,200 - $201,365. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
