Our Consultant - Energy & Carbon Services is a pillar of our Consultant & Business Development function within Energy & Carbon Services (ECS). In collaboration with operations and our internal sales consulting function, you will be responsible for generating service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within your designated area(s). Focuses on driving renewable energy sales through commercial Electric Vehicle (EV) and solar infrastructure. Builds long-term customer relationships and ensures immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Generates service sales leads and partners with senior peers to develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.

  • Utilizes team database to understand the existing customer base and identifies and develops sales opportunities for additional opportunities within the market.

  • Acts as a marketer and salesperson of ABB's Renewables service products and solutions through marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).

  • Translates the needs of customer into relevant ABB ECS Renewables offerings and solutions.

  • Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and our technical service product solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM).

  • Document customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to understand risk assessments related to price, quality, and overall package requirements.

  • Registers required information in the appropriate customer database.

  • Plans and performs the right number of weekly sales visits and reports them on CRM.

  • Reports leads and opportunities, manages, and updates pipeline in CRM.

  • Updates and monitors sales proposals and tenders and follows-up on proposal statistics.

  • Communicates contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and manages administrative sales processes.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, in business or sales driven field or combination of education and related experience in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales-driven role.

  • Technical knowledge of electrical engineering, electric vehicle and solar energy infrastructure highly preferred.

  • Must be a strong communicator with solid presentation skills and proficiency in analytical software and digital sales tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Box.

  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $85,000 and $105,000 USD annually and is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
