Project Manager - Capital Projects & Procurement
Location: Indianapolis, IN | Full-Time

We are a 30 year old engineering and instrumentation services partner trusted to support leading manufacturing, wastewater, utilities, pharmaceutical, and life sciences companies. We deliver high-impact solutions across process systems and regulated manufacturing environments.
We are hiring a Project Manager to join our Indianapolis team. This role leads complex, multi-disciplinary capital projects involving industrial equipment, process instrumentation, and engineered systems.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Leadership
  • Lead full capital project lifecycle delivery from planning through completion
  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives
  • Develop project plans, execution strategies, and resource allocation models
Technical Oversight
  • Define and validate technical scope and equipment specifications
  • Review engineering documentation for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
  • Oversee instrumentation systems, including:
    • Valves, transmitters, and analyzers
    • Control systems and manufacturing components
Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Lead procurement strategy and execution, including:
    • RFQs, vendor selection, and bid analysis
    • Contract negotiation and purchase order management
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure specifications, lead times, and quality standards
  • Track equipment from fabrication through delivery and installation
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
  • Serve as the primary client-facing project manager
  • Coordinate across engineering, procurement, and vendor teams
  • Lead project meetings, reporting, and performance tracking
Risk, Compliance & Improvement
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and cost impacts
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, regulatory, and quality standards
  • Drive improvements in project delivery and procurement processes

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in project management for capital projects
  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation
  • Proven experience with:
    • Vendor coordination and procurement processes
    • Complex, multi-stakeholder project environments
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industries preferred
Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
