Job description

ASSISTANT MANAGER OF FACILITY EVENTS AND RENTALS, DAPER Facilities, reporting directly to the Manager of Events/Rentals, Sport Camps and Scheduling and working in conjunction with MIT departments, students, coaches, faculty, and staff, provides leadership and management for the evening and weekend operations of DAPER Facilities with a primary focus on managing and supervising athletic events; delivers event support services with all appropriate providers including catering, audiovisual, and custodial services; establishes work assignments for staff, attends and supervises events, and compiles appropriate data on the usage of facilities relative to events and rentals; works as part of the DAPER Facilities and Operations Team in the stewardship of department supported programs, services and buildings; and provides evening and weekend coordination and contact with the DAPER Facilities Team, Recreation staff, Intercollegiate Athletics, and Department of Facilities to provide high quality event, rentals, repairs, and custodial support.
