Sammamish Presbyterian Church
Job Summary
Sammamish Presbyterian Church (SPC) is seeking a proactive and organized Part-Time Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day facility operations and ensure the church campus is safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role focuses on facilities coordination, minor maintenance, vendor management, and supporting ministry and rental activities.
The Facilities Manager supports SPC's mission by maintaining the church's physical assets, responding to facility needs, and ensuring readiness for worship, programs, and events.
Responsibilities
Facilities Management & Coordination
  • Coordinate and schedule minor repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, small fixes).
  • Conduct routine building and grounds checks; promptly report maintenance concerns to the Director of Operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors for outdoor maintenance tasks such as sweeping walkways, seasonal cleanups, and occasional weeding.
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for vendors, including cleaning crews, landscapers, and contractors.
  • Coordinate and respond to facility requests from staff and ministry leaders.
  • Support setup and readiness of spaces for meetings, rentals, and ministry events.
  • Monitor building security and basic safety practices during work hours.
  • Track and maintain inventory of facility, custodial, and landscaping supplies; notify leadership when restocking is needed.
  • Maintain schedules, documentation, and communication related to facilities needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in facilities management, maintenance, or building operations preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and electronic calendaring).
  • Strong written communication skills, including clear and professional email communication.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Must provide documentation establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States.
