Job description

At Mobile Air & Power Rentals, we provide innovative cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions for our customers nationwide. We rent out a vast array of equipment, including portable air conditioners, chillers, heaters, and generators, helping clients save time and money while enhancing their operations and memorable events.

We are immediately hiring an Assistant Regional Service Manager in Indianapolis, IN.


Purpose:

The Assistant Regional Service Manager (ARSM) is an integral member of the regional operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of operational processes across multiple branches. This position involves a diverse set of responsibilities including regional logistics, compliance management, safety oversight, project coordination, and providing operational support to branch and regional service management. The ARSM will facilitate effective communication and collaboration between branches and the regional management team.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Regional Operations:
    • Collaborate with the Regional Service Manager (RSM) to design and implement new procedures, policies, and programs.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate regional operational efficiency.
    • Manage assigned contracts across the region to ensure success and compliance.
    • Coordinate with RSMs in other regions for equipment not located locally.
    • Facilitate regional logistics, including the transfer of equipment between branches.
    • Serve as backup to the RSM when required.
  • Branch Operations:
    • Proactively address potential bottlenecks or challenges in operations through effective communication.
    • Provide oversight and support to Service Managers, ensuring seamless branch operations.
    • Audit service tickets from branches for quality assurance and timely billing.
    • Identify and address inefficiencies in branch operations, collaborating with Service Managers (SMs) and the RSM for improvements.
    • Serve as backup Service Manager when necessary.
  • Safety:
    • Conduct quarterly safety audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and to recommend improvements.
    • Monitor Geotab data daily for DOT compliance, reporting any issues to Branch Service Managers.
    • Collaborate with the RSM to manage the region's safety program effectively.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the RSM and General Manager (GM).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience of at least 3-5 years in a comparable role.
  • Minimum 2+ years in an operational or logistics role, ideally within the service industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and relevant operational software (e.g., ERPs and CRMs).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven capability to recognize and resolve operational issues efficiently.
  • Ability to cultivate strong working relationships and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Willingness to adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with the ability to pass MVR requirements.
  • Must be able to travel to regional branches as needed (approximately 40% travel).
  • Strong commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of work.
