Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL) develops and applies state-of-the-art diagnostic methodology to improve animal health and marketability, to protect the public health and to assist in the preservation of the human-animal bond through the principles of One Health. For additional information on the UKVDL, please click here.
This position in the Molecular Section of the UKVDL is responsible for processing specimens; running diagnostic assays; evaluating results; keeping proper records and reporting results; database management; bioinformatics; and assisting in the training of other employees as needed.
This position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus off Newtown Pike (great location and free parking). As a part of the University of Kentucky , we also offer exceptional benefits.

MS Office including Access, Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with Specialty Bioinformatics Software and LIMS system. QA/QC and Diagnostic laboratory experience.
