Position Overview

The Atlas Counseling Center in Tampa, Florida, is seeking dedicated and skilled Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our compassionate team, specializing in pain management. Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and assessing pain levels using validated scales.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and specialists to develop individualized pain management strategies that may include medication management, physical therapy, interventional procedures, and alternative therapies.
  • Patient Education: Inform patients about their conditions, available treatment options, and pain management strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their healthcare.
  • Procedural Assistance: Assist in various pain management interventions such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections, ensuring patient comfort and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Follow-up Care: Provide ongoing support by monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and offering counseling to facilitate positive outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals who suffer from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to neuropathy, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and post-surgical pain. The patient population is diverse, encompassing varying ages and backgrounds, each with unique challenges and needs in their journey toward pain management. Our focus is on developing tailored approaches to treatment that resonate with each patient's situation.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Florida.
  • Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate effectively with patients and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • A strong commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and improving clinical outcomes.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in pain management or a related clinical field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with pain management techniques and current best practices within the healthcare industry.

Compensation and Benefits

Atlas Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The benefits package includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; a retirement savings plan with employer contributions; and generous paid time off, including holidays.
