Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from various chronic pain disorders. This includes reviewing detailed medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and accurately assessing pain levels to inform individualized care strategies.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with physicians and specialists to formulate tailored pain management plans. In this role, you will incorporate a wide array of treatment options, including medication management, physical therapy, interventional procedures, and innovative therapies designed to alleviate chronic pain.
  • Patient Education: Take an active role in patient education by informing individuals about their conditions, potential treatments, and self-management techniques. By empowering patients with knowledge, you will help them take control of their recovery journey.
  • Procedural Assistance: Assist in performing various pain management procedures, such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections. You will ensure patient safety and comfort during these interventions, contributing to a positive healthcare experience.
  • Follow-up Care: Monitor patient progress diligently, conduct follow-up appointments, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical evaluations. Provide ongoing support and counseling to enhance long-term outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with chronic pain, including conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, post-surgical pain, and neuropathic pain. Understanding the intricacies of pain management and its profound impact on daily living will be essential. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a similar advanced degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey.

  • A strong foundation in patient care, exemplified through clinical rotations or relevant training.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your valuable contributions, Atlas Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
