Job description

Job Title: Entertainment Specialists

Department: Activities and Events

Reports to: Youth Programming Manager

 The Entertainment Specialist is a high-energy, guest-facing role designed to create unforgettable moments for guests of all ages. This position brings our resort’s personality to life through mascot appearances, nightly dance parties, outdoor guest interactions in all seasons, storytelling for children, and support of large-scale events. If you love performing, engaging with kids, and creating guests for life- this is for you! We are currently seeking candidates with morning midweek availability, evening flexibility, and holiday availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform as the resort mascot, including wearing a full mascot costume and maintaining character at all times
  • Participate in and perform a choreographed nightly dance party, engaging guests and encouraging participation
  • Interact enthusiastically with guests during events and outdoor experiences
  • Lead and assist with storytelling sessions and interactive experiences for young children
  • Create positive, memorable guest interactions through upbeat energy, friendliness, and approachability
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and execution of large resort events
  • Maintain a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for guests and fellow team members

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Must be able to speak and read English (additional languages a plus)
  • Outgoing, energetic, and confident presence
  • Comfortable performing and engaging with guests of all ages and group sizes
  • Comfortable dancing and learning simple choreography
  • Enjoys working with children and families
  • Willing and able to work in a mascot costume, including limited visibility and elevated temperatures
  • Ability to stand, walk, dance, and remain active for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in busy, fast-paced, and noisy environments
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying Winter and Summer weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to follow direction while also improvising and engaging creatively
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive guest experience
