Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state science standards and curriculum requirements.
-Teach scientific concepts such as life science, earth science, physical science, and introductory chemistry or physics.
-Prepare and conduct hands-on labs, experiments, and classroom demonstrations safely.
-Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including ESE and ESOL students.
-Assess student learning through quizzes, tests, projects, lab reports, and class participation.
-Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student progress.
-Use technology and interactive teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
-Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment.
-Teach and enforce laboratory safety procedures and proper use of scientific equipment.
-Provide tutoring, remediation, or enrichment opportunities as needed.
-Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, administrators, and support staff regarding student progress and behavior.
-Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and collaborative planning sessions.
