Job description

Mopec is currently searching for an assembler. We are hiring 2 assemblers on first shift and 2 on second shift. This is an “onsite” position and will be based at our corporate office in Madison Heights MI.  The assembler is responsible for installing components on to products.  Duties range from installing plumbing and electrical components, to using power tools such as drills, welders, cutting tools etc.  This position requires mechanical aptitude. 

• Installs plumbing components to equipment including cutting pipe and using torches to solder as needed per customer requirements

.• Installs electrical wiring and components as needed per customer requirements. 

• Uses of power tools including: drills, stud welder, cutting tools, testing equipment and basic hand tools. 

• Work to a priority list as set by the production schedule. 

• Ability to perform general preventative maintenance on machinery inside the assembly department. 

• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional work environment. 

• Other duties as management may assign. 


Knowledge Requirements:

• A fundamental understanding of electrical wiring preferred

• A fundamental understanding of plumbing preferred

* A fundamental understanding of machining is preferred

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

• Knowledge of VISUAL ERP system preferred

• Ability to read blueprints for Mopec products preferred

• Ability to operate power tools and hand tools.
