Job description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MECHANICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience executing the weekly allocation and assignment of all departmental personnel to specific work requirements.
  • Experience balancing competing demands including project milestones, training requirements, employee availability, and labor-union agreements to ensure equitable and effective workload distribution.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive resource planning, analyzing department workload requirements against available personnel, skills, and equipment assets.
  • Experience evaluating staffing needs, reviews long-range workload forecasts, and coordinates with Human Resources to execute recruitment and selection actions.
  • Experience overseeing employee training, ensuring personnel attend mandatory training, obtain required certifications, maintain medical qualifications, and receive appropriate on-the-job training to perform work safely and effectively.
