Job description

What if your customer was one of the world's largest media companies, and also happened to be your employer. AWS Plus is a specialized account team within AWS that supports Amazon's own business units as strategic cloud customers. As a Senior Solutions Architect on this team, you'll be the primary technical advisor to Prime Video, Prime Video Sports, and Amazon MGM Studios, helping their engineering and technology leaders get the most out of AWS for some of the most demanding workloads in the industry.
This is not a generalist role

You'll need deep familiarity with media and entertainment production technology to earn trust with studio tech teams and drive meaningful outcomes across cloud-based content production, live sports streaming, and AI-powered content generation at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a technical advisor to VP and Director-level technology leaders across Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, and other media and entertainment organizations, maintaining regular engagements and translating their business goals into AWS cloud strategy.
- Architect and advise on solutions for media and entertainment workloads including virtual workstations, cloud-based editing, VFX and animation rendering, mastering, quality control, remote production, and live sports streaming infrastructure.
- Guide AI adoption across studio workloads, including Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock for image, video, and speech model hosting, and advise on GPU compute architecture including instance selection and optimization for production-scale inference and training.
- Work backwards from customer business needs to accelerate adoption of the most appropriate AWS services, with a focus on cost optimization, scalability, and operational efficiency for production-scale workloads.
- Collaborate with AWS account management, professional services, partner teams, and the broader Solutions Architecture community to deliver end-to-end technical coverage across media and entertainment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
A day in the life
You'll spend your time working directly with Amazon's studio and streaming technology teams, the engineers and leaders building Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios' production infrastructure. That might mean an architecture review on cloud-based workflows one morning, followed by an advisory session on GPU compute architecture in the afternoon. You'll meet regularly with VP-level stakeholders, surface customer feedback to AWS product teams, and help shape how Amazon's media and entertainment properties adopt new AWS capabilities

Your domain expertise in production technology is what makes you credible in the room, and what makes this role work.
About the team

Our media and entertainment team covers Prime Video, Prime Video Sports, and Amazon MGM Studios, working closely with senior technology leadership on some of the most complex workloads in the industry. We value work-life balance, offer flexibility in working hours, and believe the right balance between your personal and professional life is key to long-term fulfilment

Amazon offers a competitive package including shares, sign-on bonus, and a host of benefits.
