Description:

Air Specialty and Equipment is one of the largest air compressor distributors in Texas. We are seeking an experienced individual, who has worked in an industrial or manufacturing environment, to fill the position of Field Service Technician for the San Antonio, TX area.


Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing and installing Air Compressors and Rotating Equipment while also gaining knowledge and experience with industrial air compressors and other compressed air equipment. You will also be responsible for the up-keep of all company trucks, and communicate with the Technical Department regularly to find solutions.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain rotary screw/ reciprocating air compressors and various types of air dryers
  • Perform diagnostics and determine causes for failures on air compressor systems equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting of factory standard controls. Provide equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance
  • Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs
  • Document all service checklist and associated forms
  • Strong respect for safety practices and demonstrates the use of necessary PPE and other safety devices
  • Clean jobsite to a degree that it is in better condition than when arriving onsite


Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.

Requirements:
  • 4-5+ years field service experience required
  • Previous compressed air experience required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background
  • Experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing commercial and industrial compressors and dryers desired
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Has own tools necessary to complete job (basic hand tools, multi-meter, thermal gun)
