Construction Manager | Scranton, PA (onsite daily)
40+ hours per week | 6-Month Contract
 
Targeted pay rate: $75-90/hr depending upon qualification (weekly overtime expected)

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee electrical installation phases and ensure project success. This role manages low-voltage subcontractors, coordinates with internal teams, and works closely with general contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial construction, project management, and material handling or automation systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead low-voltage subcontractor scope, schedule, and installation for material handling systems
  • Deliver installation scope on time and within budget, aligned with Project Manager targets
  • Coordinate communication between client, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Support labor planning and quality control to meet schedule and budget goals
  • Manage scope, ensure contract compliance, and handle change orders
  • Track budgets, forecast costs, and prevent overruns
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans

What You’ll Need:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent technical education and experience.
  • 10+ years in construction/project management or industrial installation environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methods
  • Experience with industrial controls or related industries
  • Experience managing subcontractors and construction projects

Nice to Have:
  • Low-voltage installation knowledge (conduit, cabling, etc.)
  • Experience with MS Project or similar tools
  • Background in control systems, HMI, or material handling equipment projects
  • Experience in distribution centers or intralogistics environments
