The Role

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

This position supports the following activities:

  • Manages the Waterfront Change (WTA) Process, collaborating between Program Office, Engineering, Supply Chain, Estimating and Pricing, Contracts, and the Customer.
  • Provides support to the Life Cycle Engineering Services Contract, including development of weekly metrics.
  • Manages LCES activities assigned by the Navy, including Engineering studies and Vendor tasks.
  • Program review of Engineering Class 2 Changes
  • Supports the LPD Change Manager in technical and administrative tasks as requested
Must Have

High School Diploma and 10 years of experience

Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience

-or-

Masters degree or above and 4 year of experience

Nice to Have
  • Superior excel skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Have the ability to work collaboratively with peers, various management levels and Customer. Can demonstrated proficiency in development of PowerPoint presentations for senior management Strong project management skills preferred.
  • Ideal qualities include experience with LPD Program Change Management processes (ECRs, Waivers, WTAs and Condition Reports). Experience in managing contract deliverables is a plus.
