Job description

On a typical day, you might:
  • Drive the month-end engine by leading the global close process for six (and counting) international entities, ensuring all financials strictly comply with both Local and US GAAP requirements.
  • Validate account balances through rigorous, detailed reviews of reconciliations and journal entries prepared by both internal teams and third-party accounting firms.
  • Act as the strategic leader for statutory compliance, serving as the primary point of contact for international audits and managing the end-to-end filing of VAT, GST, and other local indirect taxes.
  • Orchestrate global treasury operations, overseeing international banking relationships, executing complex intercompany transactions, managing liquidity, and acting as the final approver for international payments.
  • Manage third-party performance by holding external international service providers accountable to strict SLAs, ensuring high-quality outputs on tight deadlines.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for new international business initiatives, proactively providing guidance on accounting, tax, and transfer pricing implications before they launch.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline existing global processes, moving beyond the status quo to design and implement "leading practice" workflows for a scalable future.
The ideal candidate will bring:
  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally with high-growth industry experience working directly with foreign entities. Blending of "Big 4" public accounting a plus.
  • Deep international fluency and technical expertise in transfer pricing, statutory requirements, and the nuances of indirect tax across various global jurisdictions.
  • Prior experience in a subscription-based or SaaS environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of fast-paced, recurring-revenue business models.
  • A solid educational foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. An active CPA license (or active progress toward one) is highly preferred.
  • Advanced ERP and tech stack proficiency, specifically with NetSuite (or comparable enterprise ERPs), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship skills, with a proven ability to distill complex international accounting concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • A strong track record as an independent contributor, possessing the execution focus and organizational tact required to manage diverse external relationships without direct oversight.
Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base rate only and do not include bonus, equity, sales incentives or other role specific compensation that the role may be eligible for. ActiveCampaign believes in and is committed to equitable compensation practices.
