Job description

Professional and administrative work implementing the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of County properties. Responsible for the efficient management, operation, and high-quality appearance of unimproved and unoccupied improved property, both owned and leased, in addition to all property where the County acts as the lessor or lessee, throughout Palm Beach County. Reviews appraisals; performs due diligence reviews of environmental audits, title commitments, and surveys. Prepares contracts in conjunction with the County Attorney's Office and agenda items for approval by the Board of County Commissioners. Implements contract terms. Work is performed under the general direction of an administrative superior, and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and observation of results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
  • B achelor's Degree in Real Estate or related field; minimum of three (3) years of title company experience, commercial real estate development, including acquisition, disposition, and leasing transactions OR technical due diligence review including title, survey, or appraisals,

OR
  • Unrelated Bachelor's Degree/related Associate's Degree; minimum of five (5) years of title company experience, commercial real estate development, including acquisition, disposition, and leasing transactions OR technical due diligence review including title, survey, or appraisals,

OR
  • Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of seven (7) years of title company experience, commercial real estate development, including acquisition, disposition, and leasing transactions OR technical due diligence review including title, survey, or appraisals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing commercial property appraisals, including making valuation recommendations, and
  • Five (5) years of experience in land development, disposition, acquisitions, leasing, property management, and due diligence review (must specify on application) .
