Job Overview
The needs of a global brand aren't average, and this role isn't either. You'll be part of a dynamic, fast-moving team bringing Komatsu's global brand strategy to life across markets, platforms, and audiences. This is an opportunity to help define how a world-leading company shows up visually, creatively, and consistently around the globe. We're not just looking for someone to execute briefs; we're looking for someone who wants to shape what's next, energized by building, improving, and scaling how great content gets made.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Design, animate, and edit high-volume motion graphics and video deliverables that bring Komatsu's global brand to life across campaigns, product stories, and internal/external communications.
  • Use motion and editing craft to position Komatsu as a leader in technology and innovation, translating complex ideas into clear, modern, platform-native stories.
  • Deliver against a high-volume pipeline across multiple concurrent projects; stay comfortable with fast turnarounds, iterative review cycles, and balancing "good enough" vs. polish based on scope and audience.
  • Partner with stakeholders to scope and manage work efficiently, set clear timelines, and keep projects on track while maintaining brand and technical quality standards.
  • Help implement and evolve Komatsu's design system for motion/video by creating global templates, toolkits and reusable components (e.g. lower-thirds, openers, transitions, title cards) to scale production across regions and vendors.
  • Continuously improve how content gets made on a lean, agile team, building repeatable workflows, leveraging templates, and experimenting with AI-assisted and emerging tools to increase speed and consistency. Design professional-quality graphics and animations from scratch for various creative assignments (e.g., before-and-after explainer animations highlighting a problem and solution, or engaging animated advertisements for digital signage).
  • Develop concepts and story approaches for a wide variety of applications, including digital-first and social content, tailoring creative projects to platform-native storytelling (e.g., LinkedIn vs. YouTube vs. short-form formats such as Reels/Shorts).
  • Edit videos using captured footage and existing assets, producing multiple cut-downs/versions optimized for different channels, aspect ratios, captions and viewing behaviors.
  • Own projects end to end-from kickoff and lightweight storyboards/animatics through edit, review cycles, and final delivery-incorporating feedback quickly and managing expectations on scope, speed, and quality.
  • Collaborate with the global creative team to maintain brand consistency, evolve creative standards, and apply basic performance learnings (where available) to improve future creative.
  • Create and maintain reusable, on-brand global templates and toolkits (e.g., lower thirds, end slates, infographic systems, brand guides) that enable faster, more consistent production across regions and vendors.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) with advanced knowledge of 3D design and animation tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max)
  • Significant knowledge of design fundamentals: Color, design, composition, balance, interaction and motion
  • Strong project management skills
  • Channel fluency and a passion for staying on top of platforms, formats and technologies (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube, short-form video), with the ability to create platform-optimized content.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and workflows (for ideation, storyboarding, rough cuts, and automation), with a willingness to experiment, learn quickly, and adopt new technologies to improve speed and creative output within brand guidelines.
  • Effective written and oral skills coupled with business know-how to navigate in a large organization
  • Self-starter who is user-focused, detail-oriented, and solutions-oriented
  • Proficient in QC best practices
  • Thorough understanding of design and motion graphics animation
  • Strong organizational skills, focused under pressure and ability to manage to tight deadlines
  • Portfolio expectations: Demonstrates strong storytelling through motion and shows both range and consistency across work (brand, campaign, social, product or internal communications).
