In-Home Kitchen Design Sales Consultant
Kitchen Tune-Up — Salt Lake / Northern Utah Territory

Kitchen Tune-Up is growing fast in the Salt Lake and Northern Utah market, and we’re looking for a high-performing In-Home Kitchen Design Sales Consultant to help homeowners transform one of the most important spaces in their home.
We specialize in cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, new cabinets, and kitchen remodeling. Our average project is around $20,000, with many projects ranging from $5,000 to $100,000+.

Compensation:
Realistic first-year earning potential of $100,000+, with strong performers earning $150,000+ in year two and beyond as the territory continues to grow. Compensation includes a starting base plus commission, with commissions typically ranging from 8–12% based on performance.
This is not an order-taking role.
This is a consultative sales role for someone who can build trust, uncover needs, guide homeowners through options, and confidently ask for the sale.

Who You Are

You are confident, professional, and driven by results.
You know how to connect with people without becoming passive. You can sit at a kitchen table, listen deeply, ask smart questions, present a premium solution, and discuss price without apologizing for it.
You care about the client experience, but you also understand that protecting margin, following a process, and closing business matter.
You are not pushy.
You are not slick.
You are not afraid of the close.
You are a trusted advisor who knows how to lead a homeowner to the right decision.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with homeowners in their homes for scheduled consultations
  • Discover the client’s needs, priorities, style, budget, and decision process
  • Present cabinet refacing, painting, new cabinet, and remodeling solutions
  • Build clear, professional proposals
  • Communicate value, quality, warranty, process, and timeline
  • Confidently present projects ranging from $5,000 to $100,000+
  • Ask for the sale in a professional, consultative way
  • Follow up with prospects consistently
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes and pipeline updates
  • Protect pricing, margin, and brand reputation
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure a great client experience

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • Prior experience selling high-ticket products or services
  • Comfortable discussing large project investments
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to build trust quickly
  • Confidence asking for the sale
  • Strong follow-up discipline
  • Organized and process-driven
  • Competitive, ethical, and coachable
  • Able to handle objections without discounting too quickly
  • Comfortable working with homeowners and couples
  • Interest in kitchens, design, remodeling, or home improvement

Experience in home improvement, remodeling, roofing, windows, HVAC, solar, flooring, cabinets, countertops, bath sales, real estate, design-build, high-ticket retail, or in-home consultative sales is valuable.
Cabinet knowledge is helpful, but not required. We can teach product knowledge. We need someone who can sell with confidence, integrity, and discipline.

Why Join Us

Kitchen Tune-Up is a locally owned and trusted national franchise with a strong local presence. Our Salt Lake and Northern Utah territories are some of the highest-producing and fastest-growing in the country, and we need the right sales leader to help us scale.
The opportunity is real. The leads are real. The bottleneck is sales capacity — and we are ready to bring in the right person to help us grow.
If you are confident, coachable, ethical, and ready to sell premium kitchen solutions, we’d like to meet you.
To apply, send your resume and answer this question:

Tell me about the largest sale you have personally closed. What was the price, what was the product or service, and how did you earn the client’s trust?

Text Justin directly at 801-599-6698 or email jnessen@kitchentuneup.com with your answer.
Let’s connect and crush this together.
