The Position:
Our client is seeking to fill a Loan Workout Portfolio Manager role in the Staten Island, NY area. The position is responsible for overseeing portfolios that are distressed, delinquent, or high-risk commercial loans, developing strategies to maximize recovery and minimize losses.

This position comes with a generous salary of up to $135K and full benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Loan Workout Portfolio Manager responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement workout plan to rehabilitate loans or facilitate orderly exits.
  • Prepare Credit Reviews to assess asset quality, including performance against original underwriting expectations.
  • Work with legal counsel on bankruptcies, foreclosure actions, and debt restructurings.
  • Experience writing policies and procedures for collateral monitoring, workouts, and periodic loan reviews.
  • Report on the assigned portfolio, including asset quality, stress testing, industry and market analysis, asset allocation, reserves, and non-performing loan analysis.
  • Draft memos for any substantial changes in a borrower's financial stability or ownership structure.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
  • 3+ years in commercial banking, credit analysis, or special assets/loan workout.
  • Deep experience with financial analysis.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial lending, e.g. commercial real estate, construction and C&I products.
