We are working on a hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office, 2 at home.

The Senior Manager, HRIS is a member of the Employee Services (ES) team and will be responsible for supporting and advancing usage of the core Human Capital Management system (Workday). The role serves as an HR Technology point of contact for ES functional areas and assists ES subject matter experts to identify, plan and implement systems and process improvements.

This role will also be responsible for defining and executing the HR Technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring Workday and related technologies scale to support business growth, operational efficiency and an enhanced employee experience. Additionally, the role is responsible for the successful implementation, integration, configuration, and support of Workday applications from project initiation to production roll-out.

This position will partner closely with ES leadership, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive automation, analytics, and process optimization across the Employee Services function. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Total Rewards, the successful candidate is required to work onsite for three days a week in the Natick office.

Essential Functions:

  • Own and execute the HR Technology roadmap, aligning Workday capabilities with business and Employee Services priorities

  • Develop and execute the ongoing design and configuration of Workday HCM, aligning with business priorities

  • Advise stakeholders on industry standards and best practices

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and execute the roadmap for Workday

  • Provide HR Technology expertise for HR functional areas and assist ES subject matter experts to identify, plan and implement systems and process improvements

  • Responsible for the successful implementation, integration, configuration, and support of Workday applications from project initiation to production roll-out

  • Ensure Workday best practices throughout requirements gathering, design, delivery, and support while driving business transformation and process optimization

  • Lead Workday release management, evaluating new functionality and driving adoption where appropriate

  • Drive HR data and analytics capabilities, including dashboards, reporting, and insights to support data-driven decision-making

  • Lead and develop support team for all system issues, reporting, feature releases, and administration of annual HR core Workday related processes, such as goal-setting, performance management, and compensation planning

  • Lead and develop HRIS team (direct and/or vendor resources) supporting Workday and HR technology solutions

  • Vendor Management ensuring strong relationships with service providers, contract negotiation, and monitoring vendor service delivery and performance to ensure they are meeting organizational needs

  • Create collaborative relationships with ES functions, IT, and other cross functional stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of HRIS applications

  • Provide application support and end-user guidance. Research and resolve issues

  • Oversee the broader HR technology ecosystem, including integrations and third-party systems supporting Employee Services

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 10 years of experience in multiple HRIS systems, including Workday, PeopleSoft, UKG, etc.

  • 5 years of successful people management experience

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Extend, BIRT, or Workday integrations a plus

  • Experience working on Workday projects in a lead role, including configuration knowledge and skills

  • Strong understanding of applications and tools, data management, and business process analysis

  • Proven stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to develop reports using functions, formulas, and/or macros

  • Experience maintaining a high degree of discretion and sensitivity to confidential information

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing HR technology strategy and roadmap

  • Experience with Workday release management and governance

  • Experience with HR analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools

  • Experience in global HRIS environments

  • Experience leading system implementations or HR technology transformations

Cognex believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is120,000 USD-240,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a sales incentive plan.
