Job description

Description

CT Technologist (Full‑Time, Day Shift | 0.9 FTE)
  • Locations: Vancouver Heights Imaging (Outpatient) + PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (Level II Trauma Center), Vancouver, WA
  • Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 0700-1630
  • Pay Range:  $46.99-$69.98/hour
  • Hiring Bonus and Relocation Assistance May Be Available

Why Us, Why Now

At PeaceHealth Southwest, this isn’t just imaging—it’s impact. Here, you’ll have the time and support to connect with patients while mastering the skills that save lives.

Step into a role where your expertise matters. Work across two dynamic settings—our outpatient imaging center (Vancouver Heights Imaging) and our hospital—giving you variety, flexibility, and the chance to elevate your career.

 What’s in it for you:

  • Meaningful, patient‑centric care: Real time to listen, explain, and tailor each exam—without sacrificing safety or quality.
  • Variety with purpose: Split time between a structured outpatient center and a Level II trauma hospital where your skills save lives.
  • Autonomy and respect: Your judgment is trusted. Your voice shapes protocols and daily flow. With strong, visible leadership and a culture that feels like family, this is a place where you can truly thrive.
  • Stability + balance: A full‑time, day‑shift role with supportive leadership, a strong team culture, and four 9-hour day shifts for predictable time off.
  • Inclusive culture: Be part of a welcoming, values‑driven organization where caregivers and communities are at the center of everything we do.

The Role—What You’ll Do

  •  Greet patients. Listen first. Explain each step in plain language.
  • Review orders. Confirm history. Choose the right protocol for the patient.
  • Start IVs and manage contrast safely. Monitor patients closely.
  • Perform CT scans with precision. Minimize repeats.
  • Apply ALARA every time. Confirm pregnancy status when indicated.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to tailor protocols and expedite critical reads.
  • Handle interventional CT procedures. Prepare equipment and supplies.
  • Perform daily QC checks. Keep images clean and consistent.
  • Document clearly in PACS/RIS. Communicate results pathways.
  • Escalate urgent findings. Support trauma team workflows.
  • Help keep the day moving—prioritize, reset rooms, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Coach newer team members. Share best practices that reduce dose and repeats.

Schedule, Balance, and Stability

  • Full‑time, day shift (0.9 FTE) across outpatient + hospital.
  • Four 9-hour day shifts for consistent days off and predictable recovery time.
  • Strong, visible leadership that values people over quotas and supports continuous development.
  • Inclusive, team‑oriented culture where everyone belongs.

Why Join PeaceHealth

  • Mission‑Driven Excellence: We put patients, caregivers, and community at the center. PeaceHealth Southwest is recognized for safety and quality and continues to invest in people‑first care.
  • The Best of Both Worlds:
    • Outpatient Imaging: Structured days, scheduled exams, deeper patient relationships.
    • Hospital (Level II Trauma): High‑impact moments where your expertise truly matters.
  • Competitive Compensation: $46.99-$69.98/hour (hiring rate depends on education, training, experience, applicable collective bargaining terms, and seniority).
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical/dental/vision, 403(b) with employer base + match, generous PTO, employer‑paid life and disability (with buy‑up options), tuition + CE reimbursement, wellness benefits, and expanded EAP/mental health support.
  • Support for New Caregivers: Relocation assistance may be available.

What You Bring

  •  Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT (R), ARRT(N), or ARRT (CT) required at hire; ARRT (CT) within 1 year.
  • Advanced ARRT (CT) via Advanced Nuclear Medicine pathway is acceptable; ARRT (R) would not be required with that pathway.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist license by date of hire.
  • BLS (AHA or American Red Cross).
  • Venipuncture competency and safe contrast administration.
  • Comfort with imaging systems (PACS/RIS) and clear documentation.

Life in Vancouver, WA

  • Welcoming and inclusive: Diverse community where everyone can thrive.
  • Family‑friendly: Great schools, parks, and year‑round activities.
  • Outdoorsy: Close to the Columbia River Gorge, Cascades, and Pacific Coast.
