Job description

Overview
The Asset Management Associate will support the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of MH and/or RV assets through detailed analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration and will work alongside the Vice President, Director, and Senior Vice President on initiatives to support departmental goals. Working both within and across various departments, including FP&A, Revenue Management, Operations, Marketing, and Utility Management, this role will assist in tracking asset performance, identifying trends, and supporting the team's strategic decision-making to maximize asset performance. The Asset Management Associate will also contribute to the development of internal systems designed to memorialize and manage critical asset-level data.
Job Duties
  • Assist in development and review of annual budgets and business plans. (Essential)
  • Collaborate with Operations on occupancy trends and Revenue Management to monitor pricing strategies and revenue optimization. (Essential)
  • Coordinate with Utility Management on expense performance, conservation initiatives, and supporting infrastructure investment (capital expense) analysis. (Essential)
  • Support regular portfolio reviews, business updates, and cross-departmental reporting initiatives. (Essential)
  • Assist in building internal systems to capture, store, and manage key asset-level information, including financial, operational, and capital data. (Essential)
  • Consolidate and validate actuals, budgets, and forecasts for key performance indicators across assigned assets.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities to the broader Asset Management and Operations teams.
  • Work closely with Marketing to track campaign performance and provide recommendations on local marketing strategies.
  • Participate in ad hoc analyses and special projects as required by leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field (Required)
  • 2 years in experience in asset management, real estate finance, or FP&A (Required)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills; familiarity with reporting systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Yardi, or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • Exposure to or interest in systems development and data organization tools (e.g., SharePoint, Airtable, CRM platforms)
