Job Description

As a Security Patrol Driver Mall Shopping Center in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and deliver exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to use your communication and technology skills while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Full Time / Morning Shift

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
