Job Description
As a Security Officer Mall Patrol in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Document incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns through clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
