Sodexo is seeking a strongFood Service Operations Manager 1 forthe United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendletonlocated inOceanside, CA.The Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations for one of it's Mess Halls.

• Have 3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food servicedining environment.
• Be a people person with astrong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who isperceptiveand hasattention to details that make a difference- quality and presentation of food - customer service -
• Be SERVICE focused-including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.
• Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;
• Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

• have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to workcollaboratively;
• have a strong background in safety and sanitationcompliance;
• have high volume food service experience;
• have contract food service experience,preferred;
• have experience managing staff in a union environment,preferred;
• have food service experience in a high-end establishment,preferred;
• canmanage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customerservice;and/or
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
