Description:

The Malibu Farm event bartender is responsible for managing their assigned bar and delivering exceptional beverage service during private events, weddings, banquets, receptions, and other special events. This position ensures that each bar is properly organized, stocked, and maintained while providing warm, attentive, and efficient hospitality that reflects the Malibu Farm brand. The team works closely with the event coordinator, management, and service team to ensure seamless event execution, uphold Malibu Farm’s service standards, and create memorable experiences that drive guest satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Serve requested beverages and coffee in a timely and efficient manner and in the order that the request was received. 
  • Set up and break down bar / bar area according to department standards.
  • Consistently keep the bar area organized and clean. 
  • Know all specialty cocktail ingredients and garnishes and be able to prepare according to department standards. Follow pouring procedures appropriately, using measured jiggers.
  • Participate in updated training for the bar and menu items. 
  • Be able to confidently explain and answer questions on beverage menu and coffee / tea selections to servers and guests. 
  • Operate Toast, Square, handle cash and credit card charges according to procedures. 
  • Complete closing duties within department standards.
  • Assist Guests with any “To-Go” orders.
  • Be knowledgeable of all a la carte and buffet food options, and be able to describe the menu and answer guest questions.
  • Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments. 
  • Assist management with monthly inventory.
  • Create requisition order for necessary products each day.
  • Ensure the back bar area is kept clean at all times.
  • Make sure the bar tables are clean and set at all times.
  • Ensure the bar floor is clean at all times
  • Make sure all juices, agaves are made and stocked at all times
  • Stock wine and beer at the end of your shift daily.
  • Assist with running drinks when you have time.
  • Keep all juice and agaves labeled and dated at all times.
  • Be consistent with all garnishes and presentation of all cocktails.
