Physical Classification: 1-7 as Scaler/Transporter & 1-11 as Backup Operator (see Back & Task Chart)

Hours:ย  2:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. (Hours May Vary)ย 

Wage: ย $22.31/hour base wage

(ability to earn up to $24.43 if able to train as Machine Operator)

JOB SUMMARY: This is a position combining roles of both the transporter and scaler, to help where most needed. Transporter Duties to include: supply materials to the Packing Room, lift and stack pallets of boxes, and transport finished product to the freezer. Scaler Duties to include: Weigh boxes of product to designated specifications, complete necessary paperwork or computer entry and perform temperature and metal detector checks.

TRANSPORTER JOB DUTIES:ย 

Supply necessary materials, such as boxes, labels, bags, etc. to the Packing Room, to support daily production operations.
Complete daily equipment checklist prior to operating pallet jack.
Handle part boxes of product to ensure they are put in proper location in freezer. ย Also, pull product from freezer to be worked into the line operation.Know freezer locations and proper storage locations for product.
Stack skids. Assist in making boxes and operate the skid wrapper.
Complete all required paperwork. ย Enter pallet tickets and other information into the computer as required.
Job requires frequent bending, lifting and twisting throughout the work shift. ย Will be required to lift and stack product at and above shoulder level.
Keep work area clean.
Other duties as needed or assigned.

SCALER JOB DUTIES:

Set up and operate scale and tape machine.
Arrange packing room for the product being run.
Perform frozen temperature and metal detector checks.Advise packers of product type and how product is to be packed.
Weigh all boxes to meet minimum weight and counts.
Check scale for proper tare.
Ensure proper label, stamp and date code are on boxes.
Keep work area clean.
May be required to bend, lift and twist frequently throughout the work shift.
Other duties as needed or assigned.

OPERATOR JOB DUTIES:

Machine set up and operation which includes: leveling, filling, moving machines, speed and adjustmentsย 

Batter test and fried weight temperature checks: FC or Blanchedย 

Maintain all cooking systems which include: adjusting speeds and belt heights, scraping tubes, checking fryer temperatures, checking filter system, monitoring control panels, monitoring oil levels in fryer tank, know Gyro and freezer operationย 

Able to perform marinator operations: reading batch sheets and formulating loads.ย 

Know 8 digit product codesย 

Operate and fill Wilevco; Operate Toledo systemย 

Operate Formax and marinator and other equipment as requiredย 

Know cooler locations and functions, supply line with raw materialsย 

Operate jack in a safe and responsible mannerย 

Maintain a clean and safe work environmentย 

Complete required paperwork and entry into the computerย 

Knowledge and understanding of the HACCP program.ย 

Other duties as assignedย ย 

WORKING CONDITIONS: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS: Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must pass company physical classification test for essential functions of the position (back and task).ย
