Makeup Models information

What is a makeup model?

Makeup models are individuals who showcase makeup products and techniques, either for professional photo shoots, beauty campaigns, live demonstrations, or educational purposes. They work with makeup artists to display different looks, highlight new products, or demonstrate application methods. Makeup models may be featured in advertisements, magazines, online tutorials, or live events. Their primary role is to present the makeup attractively and help potential customers visualize how products look when applied.

What can I expect during a typical makeup modeling assignment?

During a typical makeup modeling assignment, you will collaborate closely with makeup artists, photographers, and sometimes hairstylists to showcase specific makeup looks or products. Assignments often involve sitting for extended periods while artists apply makeup, followed by photo or video sessions under professional lighting. Flexibility is important, as you may need to adapt to different creative directions or looks throughout the shoot. Clear communication and the ability to take direction well are highly valued, and maintaining healthy skin is essential for success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a makeup model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Makeup Model, you need well-maintained skin, versatile facial features, and the ability to follow makeup artists' direction, often with prior modeling experience or a professional portfolio. Familiarity with standard modeling poses, lighting setups, and sometimes experience with beauty industry booking platforms is beneficial. Confidence, patience, and strong communication skills help makeup models work effectively with photographers, artists, and clients. These attributes ensure that models can present makeup looks optimally, adapt to creative direction, and contribute to successful beauty campaigns.

Makeup models primarily serve as visual subjects for makeup application, often without formal credentials, and work mainly in photoshoots and fashion events. Makeup artists are trained professionals who apply makeup for clients across various settings. While makeup models focus on appearance and presentation, makeup artists provide expert makeup services. Both roles are essential in the beauty and fashion industry but serve different purposes.

How much do makeup models get paid?

Makeup models typically earn between $50 and $200 per hour, depending on experience, location, and the scope of the project. Rates can vary for freelance work versus agency assignments, and some models may receive additional compensation such as product samples or portfolio building opportunities.

What does a makeup model do?

A makeup model showcases makeup products and techniques by having their face or body painted or styled for photoshoots, runway shows, or promotional events. They often work with makeup artists and photographers, and may need to follow specific looks or instructions to highlight makeup trends or products.

Job description

Why Choose Mallory?

For more than 40 years, Mallory has provided industrial organizations with safety expertise and supply chain efficiency, along with a broad array of safety products and solutions. At Mallory Safety & Supply, we get energized by applying thought and creativity to provide best-in-class solutions. That energy has fueled multi-faceted growth, leading us to quadruple in size over the last 20 years. We are the largest independently held safety distribution company, with 40 locations and over 600 employees.

As Mallory has grown, we've expanded our capabilities through our ENSA North America division, which delivers specialized safety training and field services across North America. ENSA is an industry leader in hands-on safety training focused on working at heights, rescue, confined space, and fall protection.

Unlike traditional classroom-based safety programs, ENSA's training approach is immersive and highly hands-on. Our team supports customers and training partners across a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, utilities, energy, and industrial operations, helping organizations build safer and more prepared workforces through real-world application and technical expertise.

As a Training Coordinator, you'll play an important role behind the scenes in keeping our training programs organized, documented, and running smoothly. You'll support our training partners, maintain information within our Learning Management System (LMS), manage training documentation and certificates, assist with billing, and help ensure training records remain accurate and complete.

Mallory has always been family-owned and privately held. Our business model is customer-based. We thrive by providing basic service brilliance. We offer a casual work environment, professional development and promotional opportunities, and a culture guided by 33 core values that make up The Mallory Way. We are looking for dedicated, motivated, and smart team members who want to grow with us.

About the Role

Mallory Safety & Supply is currently seeking a Training Coordinator to join our ENSA North America team in Mukwonago, Wisconsin.

This is a detail-oriented administrative and coordination role supporting ENSA's training operations and training partners. You'll help manage the documentation and systems that keep our training programs running successfully, including uploading training records, supporting partners with training setup, processing certificates and billing, coordinating annual audits, and maintaining our Learning Management System.

A significant part of this position involves making sure information is accurate, complete, and up to date. You'll create courses and certificates within the LMS, review training completion information for accuracy, maintain documentation, and follow up on outstanding items.

We're looking for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing their own daily workload, and able to keep track of multiple responsibilities without needing constant direction. If you're someone who enjoys creating order, catching details, checking things off your list, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this could be a great fit.

This is a fully onsite position in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

At Mallory Safety & Supply, We Offer:

  • Options for Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Employer-paid Long-Term Disability
  • Voluntary Term Life, Accident, and Disability Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program, including financial wellness resources
  • 3 weeks of Paid Time Off per year
  • 7 paid holidays
  • Yearly appraisal and bi-annual reviews
  • Employee discounts and Mallory Swag
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM
  • A positive company culture. Check out The Mallory Way on our website!

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Upload and maintain training documentation and records, ensuring information is complete and accurate
  • Support ENSA training partners with setting up and administering training sessions
  • Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including creating new courses and updating course information
  • Create, process, and manage training certificates and completion documentation
  • Perform quality control reviews of training records and course completions to ensure accuracy
  • Support billing associated with training certificates and maintain related documentation
  • Coordinate and support annual audits for training partners and coordinators
  • Respond to questions and requests from training partners and internal team members
  • Track outstanding documentation, certifications, and training-related requirements and follow up as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic training records
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, documentation, and LMS accuracy
  • Provide additional administrative and coordination support to the ENSA training team as needed

What We're Looking For

We care less about checking every box on a resume and more about finding someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of their work.

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Highly organized and able to independently manage daily tasks and priorities
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Comfortable working with documents, records, databases, and computer-based systems
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines without losing track of details
  • Proactive about following up and completing tasks from start to finish
  • Comfortable learning new software systems and processes
  • A clear and professional communicator when working with training partners and internal team members
  • Resourceful and willing to find answers when they don't immediately know them
  • Dependable and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over their work
  • Able to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment

Experience with Learning Management Systems, training administration, data entry, records management, customer service, or administrative coordination is helpful but not required. We're willing to train the right person who demonstrates strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn.

Work Environment & Additional Information

  • This is a fully onsite position based in Mukwonago, Wisconsin
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • The position requires regular use of the Learning Management System and other business software
  • Training will be provided on ENSA-specific systems, processes, and procedures
  • Success in this position requires the ability to independently organize and manage a daily workload while maintaining accuracy

Hiring Great People Is the Most Important Thing We Do.

If you're highly organized, enjoy coordinating details, and take pride in making sure information is accurate and processes run smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
