Distinguishing Features of Work

This is entry-level seasonal or part-time work with assignments in a wide variety of areas – Recreation Center, Athletics, Tennis Center, Watson Park or golf course clubhouse. Employees will interact directly with activity participants. THIS IS A LIMITED PART-TIME POSITION The day and hours for this position: Varies Bargaining Unit: No Union Representation

Examples of Work Performed
  • Serves customers at pro shop and/or concession counter.
  • Receives and disburses cash.
  • Prepares and handles food.
  • Stocks concession products.
  • Cleans and stages golf carts.
  • Picks up, cleans and packages driving range golf balls.
  • Performs basic equipment maintenance.
  • Supervises children, organizes and leads games and assists with class instruction.
  • Officiates or keeps score for sports activities.
  • Perform basic custodial duties.
  • Sets up and takes down building furnishings and arrangements.
  • Completion of work assignments may require operation of a vehicle.

Requirements of Work
  • Knowledge of arithmetic
  • Ability to count money and make change

  • May require ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License.

Experience and Training

Required Experience and Training Six (6) months in a customer-facing environment Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of a criminal record check.
