- Ensure all refurbishment projects meet quality, safety, and customer standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop shop personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with sales, leadership, and parts department to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines.
- Maintain shop efficiency by identifying process improvements and reducing downtime.
- Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of vacuum trucks, hydraulic systems, pumps, and commercial vehicle systems.
- 5+ years of experience in a service, manufacturing, or heavy equipment shop environment.
- Extensive experience with heavy duty truck repair, and fleet maintenance.
- Previous leadership or management experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and repair manuals.
- Valid driver's license: CDL a plus but not required.
- Experience with paint shop operations and fabrication process is highly desirable.
- Excellent communications, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams at one time.
- Proficient with shop management software or work order systems.
