What You'll Do as a Maintenance Repair Worker 2

  • Performs maintenance, replacement, installation & repair of electrical and plumbing equipment.
  • Performs carpentry work involving maintenance, alteration &/or repair of buildings, equipment & wood structures.
  • Performs basic painting.ย 
  • Operates state vehicle to transport various equipment, tools, parts, materials & supplies to various locations throughout the state or to transport vehicle to dealership for service or repair.
  • Performs minor custodial duties.
  • Performs general exterior grounds keeping duties.
  • Performs minor maintenance on Division vehicles.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary;

AND 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in maintenance repair workย (e.g.,ย basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment); ย 

ย 

ANDย Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure.

POSITION SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:ย Requires valid driver license to operate state vehicleย
