Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Install, relocate, modify, and upgrade production equipment.
  • Maintain equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Support production by minimizing equipment downtime.

Facility Maintenance

  • Maintain facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, lighting, electrical distribution, roofing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Repair building components including walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, windows, and loading docks.
  • Coordinate repairs with outside contractors as needed.
  • Assist with facility improvement and expansion projects.

Mechanical Maintenance

  • Replace bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, pumps, valves, cylinders, and other mechanical components.
  • Perform equipment alignment and lubrication.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machine shop equipment.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance using the company's CMMS.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend replenishment.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term corrective solutions.

Safety

  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles.
  • Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends as required.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification.

Preferred

  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V.
  • Experience maintaining CNC machines, laser cutters, punch presses, press brakes, conveyors, and automated manufacturing systems.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing facility with both indoor and occasional outdoor work.
  • Regular exposure to production equipment, machinery, electrical systems, compressed air systems, and industrial environments.
