Job description

Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing manufacturing team in Santa Rosa. This position is responsible for improving manufacturing productivity, quality, and operational efficiency through preventative maintenance, equipment repair, automation support, lean manufacturing initiatives, and continuous process improvements.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with hydraulic and electrical systems, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and document all completed work.
Monitor and maintain the preventative maintenance program using the company's maintenance management system.
Maintain an adequate inventory of replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment issues.
Source and define components and equipment needed for repairs.
Fabricate parts and components for equipment repairs and process improvements.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Assist with lean manufacturing efforts to improve workflow and productivity.
Follow all company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Utilize maintenance resources efficiently and responsibly.
Communicate effectively with production, engineering, quality, and other departments.
Use Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication.


Qualifications
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Working knowledge of both metric and standard tools.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of electrical safety practices.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production needs.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

Preferred
Associate degree or coursework in Electronics or a related technical field.
Knowledge of ISO manufacturing standards.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
