Your Role
Millennium Hotels and Resorts is seeking a dedicated and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep, and repair of all hotel facilities and equipment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for both our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Assist in managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and contribute to sustainable hotel operations.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with safety and building codes.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or facilities management is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge and at least 1 year prior experience in relevant field
  • Electrical, plumbing and carpentry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
  • Customer service experience in a field service setting
  • Certification or experience in industrial electrician work
