Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician

Location: Ogden, Utah
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Every Other Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $30.00 – $42.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a leading manufacturing organization in Ogden, Utah seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to support facility operations and production equipment reliability. This organization values safety, quality, and continuous improvement while maintaining a strong focus on equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician with a strong electrical and mechanical background to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial production equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and facility equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair machinery to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings
  • Perform maintenance on industrial production systems, including hydraulic systems, controls, plumbing, welding, and fabrication
  • Utilize diagnostic tools including voltmeters, testing equipment, and measuring instruments
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment and facility repairs
  • Recommend process improvements and equipment modifications to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and work additional hours as needed to complete repairs
  • Follow all safety and environmental standards and procedures
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Experience maintaining industrial production equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, and industrial controls
  • Experience with PLC systems and basic computer applications
  • Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, drill press, measuring equipment, and electrical testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Electrician/Journeyman License preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training, apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred
