Our maintenance operations is comprised of professional engineers, certified quality control inspectors, and experienced maintenance technicians with proficiency developing and executing highway infrastructure maintenance contracts throughout the United States. Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Full-time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Broward County, Florida area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
 

  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • Roadway maintenance or construction skills
  • Clean driving record is essential
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Driver's license 
  • MOT Certifications Advanced
  • General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance
 

Qualifications:
 

  • CDL license preferred, but not required
  • Must have transportation to and from Company office
  • Ability to take direction
  • Produce quality work in an efficient manner
  • Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
  • Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Carry out simple arithmetic functions
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
  • Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
  • Ability to use smart phone and applications
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
  • Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools

Salary:
$18.00-$19.00+/hr depending on experience. 
Schedule:
Full time; must be flexible and willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.
