Job description

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Mechanic. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment with room for growth and development.

 

Location: Prince George, VA

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7am – 4pm

Pay Rate: $16.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks assisting lead mechanic to repair, operate and refurbish equipment.
  • Install, repair, and replace mechanical / hydraulic parts
  • Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to equipment functionality and longevity.
  • Maintain records of work done to all equipment.
  • Maintain workshop and help track of tools.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned.
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 year of relevant experience.
  • A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Job Qualifications:

  • Basic mechanic skills / knowledge of tools.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment safely and properly.
  • Gives attention to detail and follows instructions.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Effective time management; maximizes productivity.
  • Must have ability to lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects weighing up to 60-80 pounds each.
  • Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching throughout shift.
  • Standing for extended periods of time throughout shift.
