Job description

About the Role Woodbridge Pallet is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support our day-to-day maintenance and repair operations on our afternoon shift. This role is a great entry point for someone looking to build a career as a Maintenance Mechanic or working toward a skilled trade in maintenance. This role is for a current vacancy. Key Responsibilities * Assist with general maintenance and repairs of equipment, tools, and machinery * Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime * Perform basic repairs (carpentry, minor mechanical work, general upkeep) * Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility * Assist with equipment inspections and report issues to the Maintenance Team Lead * Follow all health and safety policies and procedures Qualifications & Skills * Previous maintenance, labour, or warehouse experience preferred * Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools * Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks * Strong attention to safety and detail * Reliable attendance and punctuality and willingness to learn and take direction are essential * Forklift license an asset What We Offer * $22–$25/hour -depending on experience * Full benefits: dental, vision, extended health * Stable, full-time employment * On-the-job training and growth opportunities Please note: Candidates selected for an interview will be required to complete a practical skills assessment as part of the hiring process.
