Job Summary

Are you looking to start a hands-on career in maintenance and facility support? We’re seeking a motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Montague, MI. This entry-level position is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting general maintenance tasks and facility upkeep. Working under the direction of experienced maintenance staff, you’ll help ensure equipment, buildings, and work areas are clean, safe, and well maintained while following all OSHA/MIOSHA safety procedures, rules, regulations, and 5S workplace organization standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will:
  • Assist with general maintenance and facility upkeep tasks
  • Support routine cleaning, organization, and upkeep of work areas
  • Help inspect equipment and facilities for cleanliness and safety concerns
  • Assist experienced maintenance staff with basic repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner
  • Maintain 5S procedures and processes to support workplace organization and efficiency
  • Ensure workspaces remain safe, clean, and compliant with company standards
