We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep our skilled nursing facility safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in building maintenance, repairs, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general facility maintenance who enjoys solving problems and working with their hands.

What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will help with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our facility, including:
  • Perform routine and preventative building maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and building systems
  • Assist with Life Safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and related equipment
  • Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Assist with facility inspections, repairs, and improvement projects
  • Follow OSHA, Life Safety, state, and federal requirements
  • Support the Maintenance Director with daily operations and special projects
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, or maintenance technician experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
  • Experience with Life Safety systems and Life Safety Code compliance required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation experience is a plus
Schedule
Full-Time | Day Shift
  • Every other weekend required
  • Participation in the emergency on-call rotation required
