Edenbrook Second Ave is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a warm and supportive environment.

Position: Maintenance Assistant – Full-Time, Day Shift, with Every Other Weekend

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
  • Conduct painting and drywall repairs as needed to maintain the appearance of our facilities.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory levels.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

  • Experience preferred, with knowledge of maintenance procedures
  • Physical Demands: Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; Exerting considerable force frequently, and/or intermediate force constantly to move objects and patients. Reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, visual near acuity, bending, stooping and walking.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to effectively diagnose and repair maintenance issues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
