Job description

Qualifications - Graduation from high school or possession of a GED - A minimum of three years experience using golf software systems (ForeUp, GolfNow, etc) - Possession of a valid driver's license General Statement of Duties Under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Maintenance/Clubhouse Assistant performs a wide variety of duties including: customer service, tee time management, merchandise sales, cart rentals, tournament support, driving range operations, grounds maintenance, irrigation support, landscaping, and facility upkeep. This position is designed as a dual role assignment requiring approximately six months in golf course maintenance operations and six months in clubhouse/pro shop operations. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of: - Fundamental knowledge of the game and rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations - General golf equipment and brands - Strong retail sales and customer service techniques - General knowledge of both tournament and league play operations Ability to: - Work varying shift hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary - Work in both indoor and outdoor environments (which will include exposure to adverse weather, chemicals, heavy equipment/mowers, and other hazards associated with golf course operations)Proficiently operate a point-of-sale system - Communicate well with others, both orally and in writing, using industry-specific terminology
